About us

ScamAlertCaribbean.com was created after a series of breaches within the Caribbean region led to the compromise of many of the populations from across islands to be leaked onto the Internet and DarkWeb alike. This drove a noticeable increase of targeted spam emails, scam and phishing text messages, WhatsApp messages, calls and iMessages.

Within the individual islands, there is no legislative support or requirement for the disclosure of when these breaches occur. Thus, people were left to fend for themselves against these attacks. This led to the development of ScamAlertCaribbean.com, where the community can submit screenshots of these scams in an effort to build a database of known scams that are ongoing in the region. A simple idea, if you receive a suspicious message, you can search the number or email address that it came from. If it's in our systems, we can tell you how long it's been active, when last it was reported, the type of scam (banking, logistics, etc.) and where it is commonly reported (Barbados, Jamaica, etc.). If it's not in your systems, and you know it's a scam or suspect it is, report it.

Since we lack a means to be informed from the authorties, let's close that gap and inform ourselves.
